Sport is an important enabler of sustainable development. With the aspiration of leaving no one behind and its promotion of tolerance and respect, it can be used as a platform for economic development and social inclusion as well as environmental protection. SportsNL wants to connect like-minded public and private parties.

About SportsNL

SportsNL is a public-private initiative that was set up to connect parties active within the Dutch sport sector. By bringing Dutch companies, government agencies, social organisations and knowledge institutions together, the Netherlands wants to be identified as and remain your partner for inclusive, sustainable and innovative (top-level) sport experiences. SportsNL is coordinated by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.

Vision

In 2030, the Netherlands will globally be seen as a (trade)partner for inclusive, sustainable and innovative sport experiences.

Mission

Harnessing the power of sport for international trade, diplomacy, knowledge and innovation exchange, and social programmes.

In order to realise the aforementioned vision and mission, SportsNL aims to reach and connect a broad network of businesses, government institutions, sport and social organisations, and knowledge centres. This connection will be achieved by engaging a wide array of shared priorities and plan long-term public-private partnerships on these priorities. Within this planning, the Netherlands will focus on a variety of activities, both inbound and outbound.

Team SportsNL

Team SportsNL comprises of representatives from Dutch public and private sport organisations, all internationally active. The group discusses common interests regarding the global sport sector. The members also perceive interesting international collaborations between businesses, sport organisations, knowledge institutions, social organisations and governments. When opportunities are recognised, SportsNL will do its best to stimulate collaborations between the relevant parties and  take action to establish a joint approach. For example, through information sessions, market research, trade missions or public-private partnerships.
